Electrolytes are essential for the uptake of oxygen and the release of carbon dioxide and ammonia through the gills. A lack of electrolyse may cause serious health problems in fish.
Ideal for use when starting a new aquaria, when doing water changes and solving fish problems, API Aquarium Salt helps improve gill function making it easier for fish to breathe as well as reducing stress, facilitating osmoregulation and providing essential electrolytes fish need to reach peak colouration and vitality.
API Aquarium Salt does not evaporate and is not filtered out, so it should only be added with each water change. Care should be taken when using salt with live plants, as some plants may be sensitive.
How to Use:
Add 1 rounded tbsp for ever 20L, or 1/2 rounded tsp for every 4L of aquarium water.
