With a newer sleek design perfect for integrating within any aquarium set up, the Fluval U3 Underwater Filter has been designed for use as a primary filter for small to medium aquariums, or alternatively as a supplementary filter for larger set ups. It provides versatile positioning suitable for standing vertically against the aquarium wall to create currents or customised flow patters, or laying horizontally for shallow tanks, larger tanks with low water levels or to create a decorative waterfall feature. It also features an easy grip water control paddle and effective media cartridge trapping more debris for clearer, cleaner waters.
Providing unique 3-stage filtration with synchronous motor technology, the Fluval U3 Underwater Filter breaks down the filtration process as follows, with filter media included with the filter system:
- MECHANICAL STAGE – Foam filter pads remove large particles
- CHEMICAL STAGE – Poly carbon pads remove fine debris, odours and improve water clarity
- BIOLOGICAL STAGE – BIOMAX filter nodes biologically balance water chemistry for a healthy environment
It also provides adjustable 3-way flow control:
- TOP OUTPUT – Maximises circulation and oxygenation
- MIDDLE OUTPUT – Spray bar for gentle flow in planted aquariums
