An effective, ready to use insecticidal powder for poultry homes, Battles Poultry Louse Powder is a permethrin-based treatment for mites, lice and fleas in your birds’ environment.

For application to bedding and housing used by infested birds, Battles Poultry Louse Powder rapidly kills, with sustained residual activity. It should be used only in animal houses, with our Red Mite Powder designed for conjunctive use and applied directly on the animal. Easy to use, it should be applied liberally to affected and surrounding areas that are used by your infested birds, and should be repeated every 2 weeks when mites are present. It is a great preventative repellent for red mites and similar insects too, applied less frequently such as every 4-8 weeks.

Red Mites can be one of the biggest problems you will face when keeping chickens, as they live in the cracks of coops and houses, are extremely small, and only come out at night crawling onto your birds to feed.  Despite their name, red mites start a light grey colour and only become a red colour after feeding, and are only active during the summer and warmer months.

Directions for Use: Apply liberally to bedding and housing used by infested birds. Repeat approximately every 2 weeks when mites are present. For preventative use, repeat less frequently.
