Containing vet-strength ivermectin to provide an affordable yet effective medicine treatment that kills before damage can be caused to your pet’s health, Beaphar Fly Guard prevents and treats blowfly strike on your rabbit or guinea pig, with an easy to use spray formula. It effectively protects your rabbit or guinea pig for up to 3 months after application, with each bottle containing sufficient product to treat up to 5 medium sized rabbits.
Important: Blowfly strike is extremely serious. If your rabbit or guinea pig is already infested with maggots you MUST seek veterinary attention immediately. Any delay is likely to result in the death of your pet. For Beaphar Fly Guard to be fully effective it is important to ensure good hutch hygiene and remove any faeces from your pet before use.

How to Use: Weigh your pet carefully before application and use the following table to calculate the correct dose. Suitable for rabbits and guinea pigs.
0.5-1kg: 5 Pumps
1-1.5kg: 7 Pumps
1.5-3kg: 9 Pumps
3kg+: 15 Pumps
Ensure your guinea pig or rabbit is clean and dry. Spray your pet from the middle of their back to the tip of their tail, from a distance of approximately 15cm. It is recommended to start treating your rabbit or guinea pig in early summer, before flies are seen.
For continuous protection, reapply Beaphar Fly Guard every 3 months. It is essential to ensure you remove any faeces from your rabbit or guinea pig’s bottom before applying for this product to be effective. To do this, simply soak the affected area carefully in a warm water solution and use an appropriate pet shampoo such as Beaphar Guinea Pig and Rabbit Shampoo to assist this process. hutch hygiene is essential to reduce flies being attracted to your pet and their hutch. Remove all soiled bedding at least once a week, and disinfect with a suitable product such as Beaphar Deep Clean. During the summer months it may be necessary to remove any soiled bedding daily.
